Newly Married Power-Couple Meet India’s Most Powerful Man!

Celebrity couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli recently got hitched in a private ceremony in Italy. While the wedding was attended by a short list of really close friends and family, the duo is having a reception in New Delhi for the ones who couldn’t make it to the actual event. The latest we hear about this reception is that aside from their relatives, they’ve even invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the reception.

The reception that is to be held on 21st December at Hotel Taj Palace will be followed by a party on the 26th held in Mumbai for their other famous friends’ convenience. For their invitation to the honourable PM, Virat and Anushka, accompanied by Kohli’s brother Vikas, met with Narendra Modi to ask him to come to the event.

Touched by this gesture, Modi also shared his affections and regards for the newly married couple by warmly congratulating them. The Prime Minister’s twitter account made a note of their meeting by stating that, “Captain of the Indian cricket team @imVkohli and noted actor @AnushkaSharma met PM @narendramodi this evening. The Prime Minister congratulated them on their wedding.”
