Aryan’s Viral Video: Will Clarification End Backlash?

Zaid Khan, son of Karnataka Minister B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan, has spoken out about Aryan Khan’s viral middle-finger video from Bengaluru. He says the gesture was not for the public. He explains it was a playful response to a friend standing nearby.

He added that the clip spreading online removes context and shows only a brief moment. According to him, the full scene explains the action clearly. The video alone, he said, gives a wrong impression and fuels anger unfairly.

The moment occurred during Aryan’s November 28 visit to a pub under Ashoknagar Police Station limits. In the clip, Aryan stands on a balcony while fans gather outside. He briefly raises his finger, which many see as aimed at the crowd.

Zaid Khan and Nalapad, son of BDA Chairman N.A. Harris, appear in the same frame, laughing. Their presence worsened the anger. Many viewers accused the group of showing disrespect and behaving carelessly in a public space.

Online backlash grew fast. People questioned why no police action followed and argued that an ordinary person would not receive the same treatment. You see the debate shift from the gesture to privilege and unequal handling by authorities.

Even after the clarification, many remain unconvinced. Viewers feel public figures carry extra responsibility. For many, the core issue stays unanswered. Would the response be different if the name was not Aryan Khan?
