Superhit Film Sequel: 1 Flop Hero, 3 Flop Heroines

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is all set to begin filming this September, with a planned release in the second half of 2026. The first film in the franchise, starring Kartik Aryan, Bhumi Pednekar, and Ananya Panday, was a box office hit, and the makers are now aiming to surpass that success. This time, Ayushmann Khurrana takes the lead in a fresh storyline.

Joining Ayushmann are three female leads — Sara Ali Khan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rakul Preet Singh. The film promises the familiar mix of marriage drama and comedic twists, with two extramarital love interests adding to the chaos. Director Mudassar Aziz has clarified that this is not a continuation or remake, but a completely new take.

Since Kartik Aryan’s exit from the franchise, the team has faced extra pressure to deliver. They are banking on a blend of situational comedy and catchy music to create buzz. Fans hope the sequel retains quality humour and avoids turning into a loud, over-the-top comedy like Housefull 5, keeping the charm that made the first film a hit.
