Another Star Under Threat After Salman: 10 Cr Extortion

Another star from the entertainment industry has reportedly come under threat following a Rs 10 crore extortion demand. Punjabi singer and composer B Praak is said to have received a serious threat allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, raising fresh concerns within music circles.

Reports state that an unidentified caller demanded Rs 10 crore and issued a death threat. The caller allegedly warned of severe consequences if the demand was ignored, creating panic and prompting immediate attention from authorities.

According to the complaint filed with the Mohali police, the threat was not initially made directly to B Praak. On January 5, a call was placed to Punjabi singer Dilnoor, who is associated with B Praak, but the call went unanswered.

The following day, Dilnoor reportedly received another call from a foreign number. After briefly answering and finding it suspicious, the call was disconnected. Shortly after, a voice message was received from the same number.

In the audio message, the caller allegedly identified himself as Arju Bishnoi and demanded Rs 10 crore. Dilnoor was asked to pass the message to B Praak, with a one week deadline and a warning that moving abroad would not ensure safety.

The message further claimed that anyone linked to the singer could be targeted. It reportedly used violent language and stated that B Praak would be reduced to dust if the demand was not fulfilled within the given time.

The audio clip has been submitted to the police as evidence. Dilnoor later filed a written complaint with the Senior Superintendent of Police, Mohali, after which a formal investigation was initiated by the authorities.

Police officials have confirmed that the case is under examination. Efforts are currently underway to trace the origin of the calls and verify the identity of the individual who sent the threatening message.

B Praak is widely known for hit songs like Mann Bharrya and for his collaborations with lyricist Jaani. The incident once again underlines growing security concerns for public figures amid a rise in extortion threats.
