The power-packed action of the 90s is set to make a comeback as Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt, Mithun Chakraborty, and Jackie Shroff reunite for a full-fledged action entertainer titled Baap.
The film has officially completed its shoot, marking the end of a long and ambitious journey that began in June 2022. With filming wrapped up, the team has now shifted focus to post-production ahead of its 2026 theatrical release.
The final schedule featured two special songs, both choreographed by producer Ahmed Khan. One of them is said to be a lively, high-energy track, while the other celebrates friendship and the deep bond between the four leads.
Most dialogue scenes were completed earlier in April 2025, paving the way for the musical and action-heavy climax. With filming finished, the post-production team is now working on the VFX, which play a major role in the movie.
Baap reportedly features helicopter chases, large-scale explosions, and intense hand-to-hand combat. The film’s action has been designed by renowned choreographers Parvez Shaikh and Ravi Varma, both known for their high-adrenaline sequences.
Fans are already comparing Baap to Hollywood’s The Expendables, calling it India’s own version of a nostalgic action ensemble. While excitement is high, some viewers are curious to see whether the veteran actors can still deliver fresh and gripping action.
The action genre is a tough space, but if Baap manages to balance emotion, intensity, and nostalgia, it might just give Indian cinema a true old-school blockbuster moment.
