Trailer Talk: Slick Indian Adaptation

In the recent past, Bollywood is coming up with direct remakes of Hollywood or foreign language movies instead of copying them as they did in the past. Here is the latest example. The film Badla is a remake of Spanish thriller The Invisible Guest.

Coming to the trailer, it is slick and neatly cut. The dialogues are good, but they could definitely have been better. And the overall setting and characterisations are well-done. The element of surprise is kept throughout. The Pink co-stars, Amitabh Bachchan and Tapsee, star in the movie, together, with a small twist. It also happens to be a significant deviation from the original.

Take a look at the trailer below. Sujoy Ghosh, the director of critically acclaimed and well-received Kahaani, is behind Badla. The thriller will hit screens worldwide on March 8th.
