Veteran lyricist Sameer Anjaan has once again teamed up with composer Himesh Reshammiya, this time for Salman Khan’s ambitious war drama Battle of Galwan.
Sameer, known for penning many timeless hits, expressed his excitement, saying, “In Battle of Galwan I have worked with Himesh, and his music and all the songs are blockbusters.”
This is not the first time the Anjaan-Reshammiya duo has collaborated on a Salman Khan film. Their work in Tere Naam is still remembered for its emotional depth and music that perfectly matched the actor’s tragic love story.
When these two names join forces for another Salman starrer, fan expectations naturally rise. Sameer’s faith in Himesh’s music highlights their strong creative bond.
However, Battle of Galwan is a war film, where big romantic chartbusters are rare. Such films usually feature patriotic anthems or situational tracks that enhance the story rather than dominate it.
The setting of a real-life conflict limits the scope for sweeping romance or massy song numbers. Still, Sameer’s bold claim about “blockbuster songs” adds intrigue to the project.
Only time will tell if the music connects with a wide audience or stays limited to niche listeners. For now, Sameer seems determined to create buzz despite the genre’s constraints.
