Akshay’s Bhooth Bangla Twist: Revenge by Priyadarshan?

Fans are excited to see Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan reunite for Bhooth Bangla. Along with the buzz, an interesting theory about the film’s storyline is doing the rounds on social media. The discussion has added a fresh twist to expectations around the horror-comedy.

As per several reports and online speculation, Bhooth Bangla was originally conceived as a follow-up to the 2007 horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Priyadarshan had reportedly written the script with a sequel in mind. That script was later reworked for a different project.

Plans changed when the second installment of the franchise moved ahead under Anees Bazmee. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was directed by him and featured Kartik Aaryan in the lead role. This shift left Priyadarshan’s version unused at the time.

Eventually, Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan revisited the earlier script and reshaped it into Bhooth Bangla. The film now marks their reunion after several years. It is positioned as a fresh release rather than a franchise continuation.

The duo has previously delivered popular films like Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Bhagam Bhag, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. With Bhooth Bangla set to release on April 10, expectations remain high. Priyadarshan is keen to recreate his signature horror-comedy style once again.
