Dhurandhar 2 Storm: Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla in Trouble?

Dhurandhar: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, has made a massive impact at the box office. The film released on March 19 and recorded a historic opening of over Rs 100 crore nett in India.

The strong performance has created pressure on upcoming releases. Industry buzz suggests that Bhooth Bangla, featuring Akshay Kumar, may see a change in its release date.

Reports indicate that the makers are considering shifting the film from April 10 to May 15. The decision is being discussed due to the extended box office run expected for Dhurandhar 2.

Exhibitors are said to be favouring the Ranveer Singh film. They want to allocate more screens to the ongoing blockbuster, leaving limited space for new releases.

From a business perspective, postponing the release could be beneficial. It may help avoid a clash and allow Bhooth Bangla to perform better when competition is lower.

However, some industry insiders believe this decision should have been taken earlier. Promotional materials have already been rolled out, making a sudden change slightly risky.

The film also carries expectations due to the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan after many years. Repeated delays could impact audience excitement.

Another concern is the current promotional strategy. After the teaser release, there has been limited new content. This has affected the buzz around the film.

Trade analysts suggest that releasing more promotional material could help rebuild momentum. A strong trailer and ground-level promotions may boost visibility.

As of now, there is no official confirmation regarding the release date change. The final decision is expected to be announced soon.
