The Bombay High Court ruled pout the petitioner that the story was copied and requested for an injection order to stop the release of the film. Apart from rejecting the plea, the High Court ordered Lama to pay Rs.1.5 lakhs to the film makers as compensation.

This money would go to Nana Patekar Foundation as a donation as per the request of the makers of the film. With the fresh court order and the U/A certificate by CBFC, the makers of the film got a huge moral boost up for their film. ‘Mohenjo Daro’ is being directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar with Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde playing the lead roles.
