It deals with the story of the forced conversion of a group of women from Kerala into Islam. It was taken with a pinch of salt by the secular wing and many felt that the entire issue was exaggerated in its depiction.

The worldwide demand also increased for the film as it gained buzz in the country. K Global Films owned by Ken Naz distributed it in Canada where it gained significant viewership.

But now the makers have brought it to our notice that Ken Naz never paid them the expected revenues. The failure to do so has urged the team of The Kerala Story to take legal action against the distributor.

With its OTT release The Kerala Story has reached a wide range of demographics and received mixed response. It remains an intriguing project for many because of the many controversies around it.
