Did Sanjay Dutt’s Deadly Silence Kill 250 Lives?

Senior Advocate Ujjwal Nikam has stirred fresh debate around the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts by stating that actor Sanjay Dutt’s silence may have indirectly contributed to the tragedy.

Speaking to the media, Nikam said, “If Sanjay Dutt had informed the police about the car carrying the arms and explosives, the blasts could have been prevented. So many innocent lives might have been saved.”

The 1993 Mumbai blasts were one of the deadliest terror attacks in India’s history. Reportedly, they killed over 250 people and injured hundreds more.

Investigations later revealed a complex web involving the underworld and Pakistan-based operatives.

Talking about Sanjay Dutt, he was accused and convicted for illegally possessing weapons delivered as part of the same consignment used in the attacks.

Ujjwal also emphasized that the actor, despite knowing about the weapons and their source, chose to remain silent. “The biggest mistake was not informing the authorities. That silence had deadly consequences,” he added.

While Sanjay Dutt has served his sentence and returned to public life, Ujjwal Nikam’s statement reopens some questions again!
