BJP’s Dhurandhar Tweet Backfires: Brutal Trolling

The Dhurandhar wave spread fast online and you saw brands and political pages trying to cash in. The BJP also joined the trend, attempting humour through a film clip. What looked playful at first quickly turned into an own goal.

The party’s official handle shared Akshaye Khanna’s entry scene from Dhurandhar with the caption, “PM Modi expose Congress on Vande Bharat.” You were clearly nudged to read the scene as a political swipe at the opposition.

The problem surfaced when viewers pointed out that Akshaye Khanna’s character is the villain who tries to destroy India in the film. Realising the mistake, the post vanished. By then, you had already seen screenshots making the rounds.

Trollers reacted instantly. They linked Rehman Dakait’s role in the film to real life and aimed jokes at the BJP. Instead of mocking Congress, the post turned into a tool used against the party itself.

Once the tweet disappeared, the joke only travelled faster. You watched old screenshots spread across platforms. People debated why the post was pulled and laughed at how a quick trend jump ended in a public misfire.

Some users claimed the tweet revealed more than planned. Others blamed poor homework by the handle managers. What began as a dig at rivals ended up as proof that rushed posts bring trouble when context gets ignored.
