With 2024 being almost on the verge of ending, it is only natural that Bollywood cinema enthusiasts and fans in general are looking at what the upcoming year has in store for them. And boy oh boy, there is a long present to greet them.
Shahid Kapoor is ready to kick things off with Deva, releasing January 31st, promising a gripping tale about a rebellious cop. The film is directed by Rosshan Andrrews and co-stars Pooja Hegde alongside Shahid.
Vicky Kaushal will also grace the big screen on 14th February with his portrayal of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in ‘Chhaava’, a historical epic directed by Laxman Utekar.
Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna will come together for the very first time to work under AR Murugadoss’ direction in the much-awaited film ‘Sikandar’, slated for release on Eid 2025.
The public is also excited for 14th August to see the upcoming face-off between Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR in ‘War 2’, YRF’s latest addition to the ‘Spy Universe’, directed by Ayan Mukerji.
Patriotism will also gain the front seat in 2025, with Farhan Akhtar’s ‘120 Bahadur’ and Sunny Deol’s ‘Lahore 1947’ giving due tributes to our history.
Comedy enthusiasts will look forward to their one and only king Akshay Kumar, who is set to return with Housefull 5 alongside the ensemble cast featuring Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and Sanjay Dutt.
Some other notable mentions to grace us in 2025 are ‘SkyForce’ featuring Akshay Kumar, and ‘Crazxy’, directed by Girish Kohli and starring Sohum Shah.
With 2025 set to be a significant year, it will be interesting to see how much is it able to redefine Bollywood’s storytelling, while bringing Box Office collections back on track for the struggling industry.
