Bollywood’s Last Chance to Beat Baahubali 2!

After the huge success of the blockbuster film ‘Baahubali 2’, no other film has managed to touch or come near its set records. The Hindi dubbed version of Baahubali garnered a total of 512 crores and despite big releases like ‘Raees’ and ‘Tubelight’, that number is yet to be surpassed. The upcoming highly anticipated movies – Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Padmavati’ and Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ – are expected at-least go near the record.

‘Padmavati’, a period drama featuring actors Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, has been in the news for quite a while and seeing as it a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, there are a lot of expectations from it. It is scheduled to hit the screens in December this year along with ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ which is a sequel of 2012 spy thriller ‘Ek Tha Tiger’.

‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ will feature Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif as the leads and is up against the much awaited ‘Padmavati’ for release. The budget involved in the making of both these films is over Rs 100 crores and trade analysts expect both these films to fare well on the box office. But since both films are releasing in December which marks the year end, can either of these two touch Baahubali 2 is a still big question. This is the last chance for Bollywood to beat Baahubali-2 in 2017.
