Boycott Aamir’s Sitaare Zameen Par? Why So Unfair?

Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par is set to release next month, but people are still busy boycotting the actor and his film. Many believe he is “anti-national” for not publicly speaking out about Pakistan’s attack on India and Operation Sindoor.

While some are boycotting Sitaare Zameen Par because it’s a remake, others refuse to support Aamir simply due to this perceived political silence.

In response, Aamir’s fans have taken to social media to strongly defend their favourite actor.

They pointed out that Aamir left social media back in 2021 and hasn’t been active on any platform since. While he claimed the move was to focus on his work, industry insiders suggested it may also have been due to increasing scrutiny surrounding his personal life and professional decisions.

However, his production house’s social media handles remain active and vocal about current events.

Aamir Khan Productions posted about the Pahalgam attack and extended condolences to the victims. A video of Aamir also surfaced, where he expressed sorrow over the attack and said he believes the government is doing its best to bring justice to those affected.

Similarly, during Operation Sindoor and after the ceasefire was announced, Aamir Khan Productions shared a post saluting the bravery of Indian soldiers and expressing solidarity with them.

Despite all this, fans argue that people continue to label Aamir as “anti-national” and boycott the film without having the full context or accurate information.

Even the fans themselves admit they’re not thrilled about his return with a remake, but they believe that Aamir knew the risks and still chose to go ahead with it, so there must be something promising in the project.

They believe that it is unfair that people are boycotting Aamir with half knowledge about the subject, and should read a little about it before taking such harsh steps.
