Brahmastra Passes Monday Test Comfortably

Bollywood’s biggest mystical adventure film Brahmastra released last week to mixed reviews. But the audience seems to be hell-bent on relishing the visual wonder in theaters which resulted in a phenomenal weekend for the film.

The film grossed around 125 crores net in its first weekend in all languages. In the overseas market as well, the film has done roaring business, and the total worldwide gross of the film after its first weekend stood at 225 crores.

All eyes were on the crucial Monday, and some people were even hoping that the film would crash badly. But thankfully, the film has held up decently, especially in the IMAX and 3D versions.

The early estimates suggest that the film will do a business of around 16 crore net (in all languages) on its first Monday. The drop from Friday is around 55% which is not bad.

The film is headed for 175 crores in its first week, which is a big relief for Bollywood after a spate of disasters. The film has to hold its ground in the second weekend to be declared safe.

The film will be declared a hit if it touches the 250 crore mark in India, and the stage will be set for its second part.
