Can 1000 Crore Happen Before Pushpa 2?

We have always seen films doing record-breaking business in case they arrive during festival seasons. However, the situation has changed a little bit after the COVID-19 pandemic where audiences have mostly preferred entertainment instead of going for any random film.

The upcoming Diwali will witness the clash of two big projects, Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. While the advance booking has not opened in the major theatre chains, both films are expected to take a big opening.

However, the one thing that remains to be seen is whether both of them can collectively accumulate Rs. 1,000 crore in worldwide gross. Things don’t seem impossible considering the hype of both films among the audience.

The Rs. 1,000 crore club was launched by Pathaan last year. Considering the failure of big films like Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, trade experts believed that only Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 has the potential to touch the same mark since the first film’s Hindi version was a massive hit.

But a particular section is confident that Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 can also do the same.

The trailers received a positive response from the public and apart from belonging to different genres, the films include elements of family entertainment, which means no one would give a second thought before buying tickets.

On the other hand, Singham Again is expected to bring huge crowds specifically to the single screens, where viewers want to whistle and clap when their favorite stars emerge victorious in the end.

The first three days would be an advantage like it has always been for every film. However, the main test will start on Monday. If 100% occupancy remains in all the theatres for at least two weeks, there is a chance that both films can collect Rs. 1,000 crore altogether.

A minor complication in this case is that the films must have an opening of around Rs. 50-60 crore on the first day to touch the mark of 1,000. But we can have a better idea about the same once the advance booking opens for all the theatres around India.
