CBFC Being A Hurdle For The Release Of Vedaa

Zee Studios, Emmay Entertainment and JA Entertainment are all set to bring us Vedaa but they are facing a lot of trouble on the certification front. The Nikhil Advani directorial venture is an action drama starring fan favourite John Abraham. The cast would also have Sharvari, Tamannaah Bhatia and Abhishek Banerjee.

Written by Aseem Arora this film tells the thought provoking story of a young woman’s fight against the injustice of the system and she is helped by a brave man. But the production houses of the film recently released a joint statement publicly requesting the Central Board of Film Certification to give them a green flag. They have been waiting since June and wish to release the film on 15 August as it is a special date for John Abraham and Nikhil Advani fans who also supported their film Satyamev Jayate and Batla House on the same date.

CBFC has often come between films and audiences. It subjects films to censor and causes trouble at the time of certification. A film is a result of the hard work of many people from cast to the crews. If by any means its planned release is unnecessarily delayed it can lead to a high loss for them.
