Director Meghna Gulzar of Talvar and Raazi fame is back with a new outing Chhapaak. It is based on an actual incident related to an acid attack in 2005. Deepika Padukone plays the female lead.

Meghna Gulzar made her debut as a director in 2002, but it was only through the 2015 film Talvar that she delivered. Looking at the trailer of Chhapaak, it does seem like she has finally found what works and is delivering precisely. The investigative thriller type urgency is working well for her subjects.
