One look at the trailer and we know what is going to happen with it online. It looks like all set to be thrashed based in the past reception of the director David Dhawan movies. He is a senior pro known for madcap entertainers that are made for the theatrical experience.
Coolie No. 1 is made for the big screen and single screen audience. It is same as Judwaa remake that came a few years ago in the same father and son combination. It is an upgrade, visually, on the original retaining the same story, as it is without any changes.
Varun Dhawan has a tough job of living up to the original act by Govinda. He is clearly overacting, but that is right in his zone and those who follow him are used to it. Sara Ali Khan is definitely upping the glamour quotient. The music is a winner, as they are a remix of blockbuster originals.
