Ajay Devgn Avoids Akshay Kumar: Sensible or Scared?

Two upcoming releases, Dhamaal 4 and Welcome to the Jungle, have changed their release dates. Both films earlier maintained a one week gap. The new schedule has now created a wider window between the two comedy entertainers.

Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4 is now set to release on July 3. Meanwhile, Welcome to the Jungle, starring Akshay Kumar, will arrive on June 26. This gives the latter nearly three weeks of clear theatrical run.

Trade experts believe that box office success will still depend on content and word of mouth. However, the date shift has triggered a debate on social media. Many users questioned whether Ajay Devgn avoided a direct clash with Akshay Kumar.

The teaser of Welcome to the Jungle has received mixed reactions online. Some viewers accused it of copying a Hollywood concept. Concerns have also been raised about Ahmed Khan’s direction and changes in iconic characters.

On the other hand, Dhamaal 4 is being seen as a safer bet by some users. Despite being part of a franchise, many believe Indra Kumar has adapted to changing audience preferences over the years.

At the same time, critics have warned against underestimating the Welcome sequel. They pointed out that earlier films in the franchise performed well despite challenges, including cast changes.

Welcome to the Jungle has already faced multiple delays. Akshay Kumar’s fans remain hopeful that the film will attract audiences. With two comedy releases arriving within weeks, the box office competition will be closely watched.
