Dhanush’s Idli Kadai, which released in theatres on October 1, has received mixed reviews and is performing moderately at the box office.
Since its release, social media has been buzzing with reactions from appreciation to trolling. While some viewers call it one of the most heartwarming Tamil films of the year, others believe it falls flat.
Amid the online chatter, a rumour has gone viral claiming that Akshay Kumar has bought the remake rights of Idli Kadai and plans to remake it under the title Roti Stall Ka Khiladi.
Though clearly a social media joke, a few users are taking it seriously. Many commented that Akshay should stop doing remakes, calling him the “Remake Star.” They even cited Sarfira, his remake of Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru, which failed to perform well at the box office.
