Flop King Ranveer? Madhavan Shuts Trolls

In his 14-year-long career as an actor in Bollywood, Ranveer Singh has built his image as one of the most versatile actors in the industry, known for bringing unmatched energy to every role he takes on.

Since his debut with Band Baaja Baaraat back in 2010, Ranveer has only solidified his position in Bollywood with a string of box office hits and critically acclaimed performances.

His ability to captivate the audience with his performances in films like Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, and Gully Boy only solidified his stature as a rising superstar.

Unfortunately, after the failure of his last few films, like Jayeshbhai Jordar, Cirkus, and Befikre, the media heavily criticized Ranveer, claiming that these setbacks were just the beginning of a bigger downfall.

While the narrative around him being “written off” by the industry was gaining popularity, Ranveer was quick to challenge it with his comeback hit Rocky Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and a memorable cameo in Singham Again.

To counter this narrative and offer support, Ranveer’s industry colleague, R. Madhavan, recently dismissed the notion that a couple of not-so-good films end an actor’s career.

Madhavan compared this situation with that of international stars like Tom Cruise and Tom Hanks, who also deliver a select few movies after a certain time span, but it doesn’t mean that their careers are on the line.

He further elaborated on how media today often portrays an actor as being “written off” or “written on” if they aren’t frantically delivering hit after hit.

Madhavan also talked about how today audiences are a lot more informed about cinema and demand substance and innovation with every new project, pushing both actors and filmmakers to create stories that are even more compelling than their previous hits.

Ranveer and Madhavan will appear as co-stars in Aditya Dhar’s upcoming action-drama Dhurandhar, which promises to reaffirm the enduring appeal of both actors.

The film is set for release on October 5 and stars other big names, including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal, marking this film as a new chapter in Ranveer’s dynamic Bollywood journey.
