SRK’s Dhurandhar Comments Spark Debate
Shah Rukh Khan came into the headlines recently when he revealed on the Ask SRK session on X that he watched Dhurandhar and also praised both the films that emerged as big blockbusters at the box office.
Notably, a majority alleged after SRK’s reply that it was possibly a strategy to ensure that King works at the box office. The arrival of King a few days after Avengers: Doomsday is already leading to a lot of concern, and a few people believed that the possibility of King not working due to the MCU film forced SRK to praise Dhurandhar.
The reactions have continued, as people pointed out that SRK was busy praising other films, including Alpha. However, they mentioned that SRK is now trying to satisfy the Dhurandhar fans, since his film is expected to be beaten at the box office by a big project from Hollywood.
On the other hand, a lot of people disagreed with the claims that were being made related to SRK’s praise for Dhurandhar. A few even questioned why SRK needs to do something like that when he is already a big brand among the audience. Some stated that although King is releasing a few days after Doomsday, it will easily pull audiences to single screens.
People wrote on social media that SRK is not any random personality whose existence is dependent upon appreciating certain groups. Some even criticized and made fun of the logic being shared by some individuals, saying that just because an actor appreciates someone else’s film does not mean that the fans of that movie are going to watch the film of that particular star.
A lot of social media users also requested that a section of the audience stop targeting SRK based on his reply. They said that people should be satisfied with the fact that he has praised the film, and it does not matter whether he did it at the time of the film’s release or after its arrival on OTT.
Meanwhile, the debate has still not stopped. However, it remains to be seen whether the predictions will come out to be true in any manner and whether all those who loved Dhurandhar will go to watch King in December 2026.
