Confusion Grows Around Dhurandhar’s ‘Real Story’

The multistarrer Dhurandhar is set to release on 5 December 2025. Even before release, it has come under public scrutiny. Several allegations are being raised about the film and its claim of being based on a real life story.

Fans compared the film’s theme with real world events. They believe that Ranveer Singh’s character could be similar to Major Mohit Sharma. This led to more confusion and increased debate on social media.

Major Mohit Sharma went undercover in Pakistan to infiltrate the Hijbul Mujahideen terrorist group in the early 2000s. His brother Madhur Sharma asked the makers openly if the film is based on Mohit’s bravery.

Director Aditya Dhar later issued an official clarification. He said the film is not based on Mohit Sharma. He praised the Major’s sacrifice and stated that if they ever plan a film on his life, they will take the family’s approval.

Fans now question the claim of being based on real life. They hope the makers will give a clear explanation about what story the film is actually inspired by.
