Did Censor Trim Pooja Hegde’s Intimate Scenes?

Pooja Hegde has been trying to make it big but the last few years weren’t really kind to her be it Bollywood or South industry. Now she is trying her luck alongside Shahid Kapoor in Deva, a cop adventure where she is the leading lady.

In a smart move by the makers, the film cleared its certification and other approvals to avoid last minute cuts. But still the Central Board of Film Certification only gave it a U/A certificate after ensuring that it was suitably modified.

Some explicit and foul gestures were asked to be modified. Even crude language at multiple places in the film was asked to be transformed into milder words.

A steamy lip-lock scene highlighting Pooja’s sensuousness was also reduced by six seconds. Fans believe that this might affect the chemistry of the lead stars but in the broader picture might not be that bad.

The film will be released on 31 January and Pooja really needs this one to be a hit to revive her on a track to success. Director Rosshan Andrrews will surely have high hopes for his Bollywood debut as well.
