Chartbuster Era Back: Biggest Musical Film in 2026

It seems a good time for Emraan Hashmi to release his much-awaited sequel, Awaarapan 2, as the musical romantic genre is picking up pace.

Saiyaara proved to be a lethal hit at the box office and is aiming for a legendary run at the big screens.

The film’s music album has struck the right chord among the youth, which is another reason for the success of the film.

With a modern vibe of music, it seems fans are starting to like Bollywood albums once again.

This would turn out to be good news for Emraan Hashmi as he is currently working on Awaarapan 2.

The film is the sequel to the 2007 romantic drama film Awaarapan, which also featured Emraan Hashmi.

During this time, Emraan Hashmi was not only praised for his performances, but he also had some legendary musical tracks in his films, making his films iconic.

As he returns with his character of Shivam in Awaarapan 2, Emraan Hashmi promised that a chartbuster album is in the works for the film.

During a recent interview, he also stated that the vibe of the lost melodies will return once again with Awaarapan 2’s music album.

As Saiyaara turned a lot of heads with its revamped music, only time will tell if Awaarapan 2 will be able to capitalise on this advantage or not.

The film is expected on April 3, 2026, and is directed by Nitin Kakkar.
