Fake Reviews & Paid Influencers Killing Films

Vijay Verma has emerged as a leading name in the industry. His experimental roles and charming appeal is loved by his fans.

He was recently seen in IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack and the film came under a lot of scrutiny because of controversial religious references. He candidly opened up about the response films and OTT content gets online.

He shared that once people used to engage in genuine conversations about films. But ever since the mass phenomenon of social media reviews and trolling have overtaken the scene – in this way the public’s opinions are being manipulated.

He said that most of the pages talking about films are paid by the makers to improve the PR. What is real and what is not can’t be distinguished.

Vijay emphasised on this monetary influence which leads to influential and rich filmmakers having a better grip on popular opinions. He feels sad that this situation cannot be changed by a few and hopes that paid comments and reviews get curbed legally.

The worst thing is that many celebrities are also being discredited by paid trolling. Vijay has been a victim of the same himself and feels really sad about it.
