Horrible Comedy Universe? Who Approved Such Posters

Ayushmann Khurrana and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s upcoming film Thama is part of Maddock Films Horror Comedy Universe and is slated for a Diwali release. But the newly released posters have left fans unimpressed and questioning the hype.

The first poster featuring Ayushmann tries to create a dark, mysterious mood but ends up looking bland and predictable. Many feel it lacks originality and freshness, especially for a film meant to expand a popular cinematic universe.

Nawazuddin’s poster has faced sharper criticism. With an exaggerated expression and tacky background, it fails to highlight his acting range or screen presence. Instead of a powerful first impression, fans say it looks amateurish.

This is surprising because Maddock’s earlier hits like Stree raised expectations with sharp marketing. Posters often set the tone for a film, but Thama’s promotional material has disappointed many.

Even with Rashmika Mandanna adding star power and the festive Diwali slot boosting initial footfalls, the weak posters have cast doubt. The big question remains whether Thama can overcome poor publicity and win over audiences in theatres.
