Banned Actor’s Comeback: Huge Controversy Coming?

The teaser of Abir Gulaal is out today and it marks the re-entry of Fawad Khan in Bollywood after a ban imposed on Pakistani artists. It is directed by Aarti S. Bagdi and produced by Vivek Agarwal.

The teaser shows Vaani and Fawad sitting in a car with music playing on the radio. Fawad’s character sings the song along with it and Vaani relishes the moment.

Later on she compliments him and asks if he was flirting with her. To which he replies does she want him to flirt with her?

The romantic vibe of the film is set with this teaser and fans eagerly await the trailer. Fawad Khan’s role in Kapoor and Sons was loved by all and they eagerly waited for yet another Bollywood film starring him in the lead role.

Meanwhile, some netizens have their doubts about Vaani Kapoor, others are not entirely happy with Fawad. There is a nationalistic strain on the internet that says a Pakistani actor should not return to Bollywood but Fawad’s fans in India couldn’t be happier.
