Fed Up of Stars & Remakes: Director Moves South

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has revealed how he feels about the industry right now and his plans for the future.

Anurag Kashyap feels that the entitled stars of Bollywood are posing new problems in the business and making it difficult for creative people like him to actually do something.

He says that first generation actors are coming to become stars and not actors and they are more focused on their face and body rather than their skills. Also their desire of being treated as stars makes it difficult for the filming to progress.

Anurag went on to say how the marketing process of a movie starts even before the pre-production and it sucks the joy out of the job. Marketing and selling a movie even before it is made is something Bollywood is doing very wrong.

He says for all these reasons, he has decided to stay away from Mumbai from now on. And he has already gathered some wonderful acting credits to his name in the southern industries. If he wants to make a film in any of the industries, he will be lauded by fans too.
