Finally, Shakeela’s Biopic Getting Real

It has been a while since we have heard something interesting about the biopic being made on the life of the yesteryear adult movie actress Shakeela. The director of the movie seems to be ready with the movie.

However, there is a delay in the proceedings as the director, Indrajit Lankesh is waiting for Bollywood editor Ballu Saluja. The director wants to cut two different versions for his film, one for the Bollywood audiences and the other one for the international audiences.

What about the South audiences who would connect with her story more as many of the yesteryear male audiences might have grown up watching Shakeela’s adult movies when there was no easy access to porn or soft porn movies?

Though the director hasn’t ruled out dubbing versions in South Indian languages, as of now, his focus is only on the Hindi version and the international cut for film festivals. By the way, Richa Chadha is playing Shakeela’s role in the biopic.
