Varun Dhawan is currently in a world of hurt after his recent Christmas release Baby John. The renowned actor has been one of the most influential youth actors in the Bollywood industry and was aiming to hit it big with Atlee’s Baby John.
However, the expectations were turned to zero after the first day of collections of the disastrous film. Speaking of disasters, Varun has been dealing with a lot of them since 2019’s Kalank. The list goes on and on since then which include films like Street Dancer 3D, Coolie No.1, Jug Jugg Jeeyo, and Bawaal and despite being a good film, Bhediya also didn’t reach the expectations.
As his streak of underwhelming films continued with Baby John, he must come up in front with a list of blockbusters starting in 2025. As for the Student of the Year actor, he will be featured in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari alongside Jahnvi Kapoor under the Dharma Productions banner.
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film promises to be a good rom-com that directly falls under the comfort zone of Varun Dhawan. Teaming with Jahnvi Kapoor might be a good choice for the actor after his recent success in Devara.
Another huge project for the actor will be in his father’s directorial Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. Being featured alongside Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur, Varun might have another comedy brilliance under the direction of David Dhawan.
With David Dhawan helming the project, it might be risky for Varun to deliver a hit after David’s recent poor release but given his versatility, Varun might carve out a blockbuster out of a good script. With a lot of optimism, Varun Dhawan desperately needs to make a huge statement in 2025 and give successive hits to improve his reputation.
