Actor Kartik Aaryan is reportedly talking to producer Dinesh Vijan about two new projects now. Aaryan will possibly star in the sequels of ‘Luka Chuppi’ and ‘Cocktail’.
It seems Kartik Aaryan does not have much of a career outside these sequels and franchises. Very recently, he had a massive success with the third installment of ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’ but it was also criticized heavily for ruining the vibe that the original movie had.
Kartik Aaryan’s solo movies did not work out that well at the box office. His ‘Chandu Champion’ was appreciated by critics and audiences but was actually a flop at the box office. So was ‘Shehzada’ despite having a hyped release.
Coming out with a solo movie, in the genre of comedy, one he does best, would have been the perfect strategy that could save his career that is solely dependent on sequels now. Audiences have already criticized him by comparing his performance to Akshay Kumar after Bhool Bhulaiya. Now, with Cocktail 2, he will be compared to Saif Ali Khan too, which will not do that good for him.
Cashing in on popular movies by making one after another sequels will ruin the credibility of the actor and his standalone movies will be excluded from public discussions.
