Akshay vs Ajay Devgn: Classic Plot, Gen Z Madness

There is growing buzz around Golmaal 5, directed by Rohit Shetty. Reports suggest the film will be a remake of the 1980s classic Do Aur Do Paanch, which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor.

Rohit Shetty has earlier delivered successful remakes. However, his last remake, Cirkus, failed badly at the box office. With remakes currently struggling, this new attempt is seen as a risky move.

The original film followed two thieves hired to kidnap a schoolboy. They enter the school by disguising themselves as teachers. The story revolves around their constant attempts to outsmart each other while completing the job.

This storyline offers strong scope for comedy and action if executed well. Rohit Shetty is expected to retain the core idea. At the same time, the plot may be updated to fit the familiar Golmaal-style ensemble.

There is speculation that the remake could feature two rival teams. One team may be led by Akshay Kumar, while the other could be headed by Ajay Devgn. Their clash could add fresh energy to the narrative.

The villain is expected to be a new character. However, the actor playing this role has not been revealed yet. Fans are keen to see how this dynamic unfolds on screen.

Viewers are hoping for a strong screenplay that appeals to today’s audience. The female cast is still unconfirmed, though rumours suggest Kareena Kapoor may return. Official updates are awaited.
