The veteran Bollywood and Marathi film actor Govind Namdev will be seen in Gaurishankar Goharganj soon. Recently, the 70 year old came in news for a link-up rumour with 40 year younger actor Shivangi Verma.
A picture of the two was shared on social media as a part of the promotional strategy but fans and trolls started speculating that all was not well in Govind’s married life and he is heading for a divorce. With this news spreading all over, many of the netizens spread reports that Shivangi and Govind are secretly having an affair.
However, when Govind was asked about the same he said that it was a part of film promotion strategy but later he was pushed away from the campaign and he decided to leave it entirely. He stated that Shivangi is just trying to gain fame using his popularity and all is well with his married life.
Shivangi took to social media recently as a clear backlash to these comments and showered her disdain on Govind. She said that “Buzurg Sathiya Jaate Hain” – “old people grow senile” and encoded Govind’s name as G***** N***** in her story.
Fans felt that this was disrespectful, despite whatever happened Govind is much older and reputed. She could have handled the entire situation gracefully but indeed it feels like she wants to create more controversy.
