Yes, director Apoorva Lakhia is back with a new film after giving the biggest dud in Ram Charan’s career, Thoofan, a remake of Zanjeer. Does it come as a surprise then that it took him so long to come up with a new film?

Haseena Parkar is the new film of Apoorva Lakhia which is based on a real life story of the sister of Gangster, Dawood Ibrahim. Shraddha Kapoor essays the role of Hasina who terrorized Mumbai as Godmother. Unlike Thoofan, which at least had a decent trailer, Hasina Parkar looks disaster from the trailer itself. Shraddha Kapoor picks a wrong subject to do her first solo female lead film as her weaknesses are exposed, and she sounds like a joke trying hard to be a serious female gangster.

Check out the trailer below. Hasina Parkar is going to hit screens worldwide on August 18. Can the director surprise by giving a decent product? Based on the trailer it looks highly unlikely.
