Well, it wasn’t that surprising as Baywatch was critically mauled already before coming to India and the opposite was the case with Wonder Woman. Still, many expected the presence of Desi Girl would give Baywatch an initial bigger than Wonder Woman. However, that too didn’t happen.
What makes performance even worse is Baywatch was released in four languages compared to a limited English-only release for Wonder Woman in India. Earlier in the year Deepika Padukone too tasted flop with her Hollywood debut, but that movie had a far bigger opening compared to Baywatch.
