375 Cr Budget, Massive Expectations: Will BO Shake?

After a relatively quiet period for big-budget comedy films, Sajid Nadiadwala’s Housefull 5 is coming out and has begun creating early buzz.

The teaser, whose brief removal from YouTube came after a claim of copyright violation over the use of the song “Laal Pari,” received a lot of views and impressions before the removal.

The song picked up steam online itself, and the teaser continues to find its way through the social media channels of the cast. One of the strongest features of Housefull 5 is its massive ensemble cast.

The movie unites familiar faces like Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Sonam Bajwa, indicating a bigger approach in casting as well as production.

Although the franchise does have a reputation for slapstick comedy and confusing plotlines, this film promises a suspense factor based on a mysterious killer, a moderate change of tone.

There is guarded optimism regarding the prospects of the film, with trade analysts observing how the trailer could affect audience interest. Supported by a reportedly ₹350 crore budget and the franchise’s past success at the box office, Housefull 5 should open well.

Its long-term performance, however, will probably be a function of how well the combination of comedy and suspense appeals to audiences.
