Salim Khan is known for being relentless and straightforward throughout his career. He was always dynamic with his opinions and never tried to sugarcoat anything throughout his professional career.
The renowned filmmaker had two relationships and married twice in his lifetime. Salim Khan first married Salma Khan in the 1960s before separating from her and marrying renowned actress Helen in the 1980s.
It was challenging for Salim Khan to confess his feelings for Helen to Salma Khan and his children. He stated how she didn’t take everything with a smile initially but ultimately accepted the fact and has been peacefully aging since then.
“Of course, we had problems, but for a very short time. After that, everything was accepted” said Salim Khan during a recent interview. He added that he requested his kids to respect Helen as much as they respected their mother despite not loving her as much as they loved Salma Khan.
Salim Khan further added how he is happy with his past relationships and two wives. He added “ I’m lucky that I have two wives and that they live in harmony”.
After having four kids with Salma Khan, including Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, and Alvira Khan, Salim Khan married actress Helen and had one daughter, Arpita Khan, whom they adopted during the filmmaker’s second marriage.
