Indians Don’t See S*x as Human Experience

Kareena Kapoor Khan enjoys a reputable status in Bollywood, she has spent several decades in the industry and emerged as an iconic figure. Now that she is well beyond a ripe age, fans feel that her views about certain roles have changed.

This debate has been going on in social media ever since Kareena made a statement about intimate scenes. She stated that she feels sex scenes are not important in moving the story forward.

According to her, India doesn’t have a positive sex culture and intimate scenes here are not understood as important human experiences. To an extent her take on rampant sexualisation of women in the film industry is correct but she comes across as a bit of hypocrite.

Her fans reminded her that her very own films like Kurbaan and Don 2 amongst others had sex scenes. Fans feel that perhaps her views have changed after marriage and having kids but she should not generalise it and make it a taboo for others.
