John Abraham has been struggling to make a mark in the industry with solo projects. Although his work in Pathan was appreciated he was not the centre of attention there.
Now, he has been given a great opportunity to play a real life hero who showed his bravery in 26/11 attack with Rakesh Maria biopic. Cop roles had worked well for him in the past although recently Satyamev Jayate 2 and Attack didn’t work well inspite of good performance by John.
Many feel that John might not be able to match the level set by Kay Kay Menon who played Rakesh Maria in Anurag Kashyap’s Black Friday. Anyone who has seen Black Friday would want John to atleast match up to him.
This role might be a risk or it may end up changing his luck. Fans also feel that Akshay Kumar has been robbed of a great chance for a comeback.
Fans are eager to see Akshay in a cop role and this would have been a right fit. Films like Baby and Rowdy Rathore worked well for Akshay commercially too.
John must perform his best and give a hit otherwise all this backlash will hit him hard. At this moment he really needs to win his audience.
