Simmba opened on Friday, few days after the Christmas, to a largely positive reception from the audience as well as critics. The results were reflected in numbers as the mass entertainer starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan has grown from strength to strength and crossed 100Cr mark in five days flat.
What is interesting here is that, Temper, which is the original of Simmba was not a clean hit in Telugu. The critical reception was more or less same or even better in Telugu, but the commercial response is in an entirely different space. Those who have seen the remake say, Simmba is a totally different film in feel and treatment by Rohit Shetty. Maybe it is the reason for the change in fortunes at the box office.
