And it’s here, the teaser of eagerly awaited Kabir Singh, Hindi remake of the Telugu cult movie Arjun Reddy. It stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead and Sandeep Reddy Vanga director of the original helms the remake as well.

You know when it is the original director, the tone and feel are going to be the same as he knows the world of the movie inside out. It is precisely what we get with the bonus of better technical fluency. The one major downside and an expected one is the lack of shock value which was present in Telugu. For the Hindi film terrain, this is nothing new, Shahid Kapoor himself has done similar part before, but without the love story angle.

However, all said and done the biggest problem is no matter what one does it is impossible to better the original when it had a sensational life-altering performance like the one done by Vijay Deverakonda.
