Kartik Aaryan's three-film 2027 lineup
Kartik Aaryan did not have any big releases this year after Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. However, the young actor will return to the big screen in 2027 with three new projects that have been in production for a long time.
The first is going to be Naagzilla, which was supposed to be released in 2026 and was eventually postponed to February 12, 2027. Ravi Kishan is playing an important role, and the movie is directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, who is known for his work on Fukrey.
This will be followed by Anurag Basu’s romantic film, which features Sreeleela playing the female lead. The movie was announced a long time ago, and after going through reshoots and delays, it is finally arriving on April 30, 2027.
After Chandu Champion, Kartik and Kabir Khan are joining forces for Ladaku, which is releasing on June 18, 2027. The film will feature a real-life story, and it is produced by Birla Studios, along with Kabir Khan Entertainment, Kartik Aaryan, and Dopamine Studios.
Although trade experts are happy that the actor is returning after a long break, the release schedule has now created concern among Kartik’s fans.
All three new films will be arriving within the first six months of 2027, which means an overexposure of Kartik to the audience. This has now raised the question about the box office performances of all three movies, and fans are worried, considering that Kartik’s last film failed to leave an impression.
Netizens stated that Kartik should once again analyse the release strategy and shift the dates for any two films since audiences don’t like a lot of overexposure from an actor in today’s time. A few people even cited the example of Akshay Kumar, stating that his habit of bringing 3-4 films frequently in a year has led to his downfall.
While a few fans supported the fact that the dates need to be shifted, others stated that there is nothing wrong with three films being released within six months. They pointed out that everything depends on the content, and if the films have been made on a controlled budget, they will work.
Kartik Aaryan is already dealing with the backlash that emerged after he won the National Award, with netizens claiming that he did not deserve it. Notably, the actor has to prove himself now in terms of playing a variety of roles while delivering the best numbers at the box office. Let’s wait and see if that happens.
