Kartik Aaryan is set to collaborate with director Vishnuvardhan, known for Shershaah, on a zombie thriller. Though not officially announced, reports suggest Kartik is keen to work on a zombie project, and Vishnuvardhan has pitched an idea that has impressed him.
According to a report by Himesh Mankad of Pinkvilla, the film may go on floors in 2026. Sources revealed that the project is part of Kartik’s upcoming schedule, and he is currently reading scripts for a major collaboration.
Insiders also shared that Kartik and his team are planning a strong lineup. The project with Vishnuvardhan will be a thriller with zombies at its core, marking a fresh turn in his career.
Kartik’s future projects look exciting, as he is set to explore diverse genres. He will return to romance in Anurag Basu’s film opposite Sreeleela, and also star in Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri with Sameer Vidhwans.
He will further headline Shimit Amin’s Captain India, which promises a completely different story. Each film brings a new flavour, giving audiences something unique to look forward to.
However, trade experts point out that box office success will also depend on controlled budgets. They warn that films relying only on word-of-mouth may struggle, as seen with Chandu Champion, which failed despite strong content.
The collaboration with Vishnuvardhan is expected to showcase a more intense side of Kartik Aaryan. While Vishnuvardhan earned praise for Shershaah, his earlier film Panjaa with Pawan Kalyan was a flop. Fans now await to see how his pairing with Kartik will perform.
