Trailer Talk: Trying Hard To Raise Patriotic Emotions

The theatrical trailer of the immediate next biggie in Bollywood, Kesari, is out. It stars Akshay Kumar in the lead, and it’s his next after the incredibly successful 2.0 (in Hindi).

If the teasers didn’t make it clear the trailer is sure to do so. Kesari is an out and out patriotic themed movie where the patriotism is proudly worn on the sleeve and shouted for the rooftop. It is this over the top tone that might have some difference in opinion, otherwise, Kesari seems to be a perfectly fine actioner depicting the ‘Battle of Saragarhi’ showing the mighty valour of the Sikh warriors.

Akshay Kumar, given his ‘nationalistic’ transformation over the past few years, is right from the part and looks entirely at ease. However, all said and done, it is the action that would be a make-or-break deal for the movie.
