Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava’ is making many new records at the box office and the hype seems to go higher almost every day. But along with the huge hype, the movie is also drawing some criticism and controversies.

People have been seen crying, screaming and weeping after the movie and even kids are repeating the dialogues from the movie in theaters. Some schools have taken their students for a session of Chhaava in theaters. And netizens have shared their objection to that.

The movie has been given a U/A 16+ certification by CBFC and by law, kids under the age of sixteen should not be allowed to watch the movie in theaters. But there are even kids as small as five years of age who are taken to the theaters by parents.

If we ignore the controversies of propaganda and historical distortions, there are still some issues to think about. The movie has very violent and gory scenes throughout. Netizens think that schools taking children to watch Chhaava is very disrespectful of the certification.

Meanwhile, they also criticized censor board’s decisions of cutting and editing international films as per the so called ‘Indian traditional code’ because the certifications do not seem to be paid any heed to by audiences.
