Sexism Exposed? Kriti Sanon Blasts Male Superstars

Kriti Sanon has spoken openly about facing gender bias on Bollywood sets. An outsider in the industry, she has worked hard to establish herself while battling the challenges of being both a newcomer and a woman.

She shared in a recent interview that just like society reflects sexism, the entertainment world too is no different. As a child, she noticed that men often received more opportunities, while women were expected to remain at home.

Kriti revealed that her mother also grew up in such an environment but refused to let the same happen with her daughter. Her mother gave her complete freedom to pursue her career. However, Kriti soon discovered that discrimination based on gender existed in films as well.

The actress highlighted that female stars often receive smaller vanity vans and fewer amenities compared to male actors. She also pointed out how assistant directors sometimes call actresses to sets earlier, leaving them waiting until the male actors arrive.

Kriti makes it clear that she does not accept such treatment. She has asked assistant directors to show equal respect and believes that even one person’s voice can spark change. She hopes more actresses speak out and demand fairness in the industry.
